In 2001 Reinders completed a master plan and building audit for the existing
54,000sf. two storey school facility. From the report Reinders determined that
a major mechanical, electrical and building envelope upgrade was required. In
addition to the upgrades Reinders did a functional study of the building and
determined that the building interior spaces required rearranging to provide
better classroom spaces, improved student traffic flow, larger and more visible
administration offices, and better washroom and change room facilities. A new
common room was to be added as well.
TDCH completed the rejuvenated facility over a two phase construction
program to suit financing and minimizing disruption to the ongoing school operations.
