Alcon Laboratories is a global leader in the ophthalmic marketplace, amassing world--wide sales of over $2 billion. In Canada, Alcon manufactures and distributes ophthalmic pharmaceutical, surgical products, instrumentation and contact lens care products.

Alcon Canada wanted to develop a new site that would accommodate all current operations and also allow for future growth.

Reinders + Rieder Ltd. provided architectural, structural and civil engineering services on this project. Concept design was done by David Molyneux Architects.

Alcon’s new $8,500,000 office and warehouse facility was constructed on a Design/Build basis. The facility has a total area of 89,000 sq.ft., and includes a 34,000 sq. ft. two-storey office; a 5,100 sq. ft. training facility; an 8,000 sq. ft. staff amenities area and a 42,000 sq. ft. warehouse area.
