The City of London has undergone expansion & incorporation of neighbouring
towns and municipalities. The Dept. of Environment of Services (Public Works)
had to deal with a wide range of facilities and storage yards scattered througout
the city.
Reinders + Rieder Ltd. was retained to masterplan the entire Department
for increased efficiency and strategic planning. All of the City’s works and
transportation yards were examined, in concert with medium and long term plans.
Various options were developed and priced. Overall criteria for option
development were maximization of existing assets, current and future operaional
needs, and maintenance / life cycle costs.
Phase I was renovations of the existing A.J Tyler service building. This
work was completed in 2004.
