Eastridge Evangelical Missionary Church, Stouffville, ON

New 47,300 sf two storey, worship and community centre that has the building exterior designed to fit into the historical context of the Stouffville streetscape. The long building facade was segmented and detailed to represent three distinct building exteriors developed into one multi-use facility. Natural light explodes into the Foyer that provides an open and inviting atmosphere before entering a contemporary worship facility. 540 chairs arranged in a fan shape on a sloped floor surround a single level multi-purpose platform space. A large vaulted black ceiling provides a volumous space that leaves a theatrical sense to this worship space.

The remainder of the facility includes a double gymnasium, a separate 200 person fellowship hall and banquet space, nursery and childrens' meeting areas, junior and senior high auditoriums, and a second floor Cafe' space.

Entire facility including a 270 car parking lot are designed to maximize a five acre site.
