The Greater Toronto Transit Authority (GO Transit) operates rail and bus commuter
service in the greater Toronto area. Expansion of service meant that their major
bus maintenance and storage facility at Steeprock required expansion and renovation.
This expansion included additional bus service bays, expanded and renovated administrative
areas, additional bus storage facilities and associated siteworks.
Reinders + Rieder Ltd.
was retained to masterplan the site, and design for the individual phased expansions.
Phase 1 was the expansion and renovation
to the bus service bays, including the addition of three additional service
bays. Phase 2 was the expansion and renovation to the administrative and driver
facilities. Phase 3 was an expansion of the bus storage building, and additional
office space.
Reinders + Rieder Ltd. provided architectural, structural and civil engineering services for this
project.
